I went West from Ohio to earn a library degree at the University of Denver. One year back in Ohio convinced me that I needed mountains so I loaded my possessions into an orange VW Rabbit, put a green bicycle on the rack behind and drove to Arizona. After two decades as a branch librarian with the city of Phoenix, I retired early to do what I love part-time: being a site host at Habitat for Humanity, playing with horses in an equine therapy program and selling books at The Poisoned Pen.
