I designed and edited the very first issue of the Booknews from The Poisoned Pen, and still produce the store’s monthly publication while juggling my time as chief of production at Poisoned Pen Press. A Journalism and English graduate of Indiana University, my varied career has included advertising copywriting, marketing, college textbook editing and promotion, academic newsletter editing and production as well as public relations.

When I find time to read for pleasure, I especially enjoy writers who love language and who use it precisely and elegantly, but not pretentiously. I love historical fiction, well-researched and beautifully described settings, and I just can’t get through a book whose characters I wouldn’t want to meet for lunch!
